Lost your keys? Locked out? Or just want a "first generation" key for your car? Classic DMC can cut ignition, storage compartment, and locking gas cap keys for all DeLoreans. At present, we are unable to cut door keys for pre-VIN 4200 cars.

These reproductions of the original style key blank are made from a much more rugged material so the black plastic head won't get mangled like the originals did!

Our Classic DMC Tech Help team has written an article on how to locate the key code on your car. If you cannot find your key code on your car, contact us at DMC (Texas) as we have several thousand keycode records from the factory in our archives and if we don't, we can often decode a key from a photo.

The first 3,700 DeLoreans featured two keys - one for the ignition and one for the doors.

There's a reason why the factory switched from these locks to the later style.
Early door locks didn't work well then and haven't gotten better in the ensuing 40+ years.
